Free Graphic Resources for Designers

Disclosure: I have no affiliation with these companies. They are indeed my favorite free tools!

As graphic designers, we all know Google’s font and icon library and have Adobe subscriptions that we reap the benefits of that include their extensive font library, but perhaps you may be itching to take a look elsewhere for your resources? Or perhaps you need to spice your design assets up a bit? Well, I got just the list for you!

Creative Market

While there are many websites where you can purchase or download fonts for free, Creative Market is my absolute favorite! Think of it like Etsy, but instead of handmade goods you get handcrafted typefaces, icons, illustrations, and much more! Not only do your purchases support incredibly talented small businesses and artists, but if you sign up with their newsletter you will receive SIX FREE GOODS every Monday!

For more free fonts you can also visit DaFont, Font Squirrel, and 1001 Fonts.

Pexels is the go-to spot for FREE stock photos and videos that are perfect for web designers when designing sites, and also for print materials, digital marketing, and more. They have one of the hugest selections I’ve used when it comes to free stock assets making them the perfect designer resource!

This may be the first you’ve heard of The Noun Project but they are an iconography gallery that’s been around since the early years of my career. As stated with Creative Market, think of TNP as Etsy for icons. Not only can you find many design variations of the subject you’re looking for, but once you find that one you love you may be surprised to see the artist has many more icons you need for your project, which means CONSISTENCY. Nothing like design cohesion and supporting other artists!

Vecteezy is a fantastic site for free stock vector art, and you best believe we all need some good vector resources once in a while. Whether you need a good pattern for website backgrounds or a nice foliage illustration for a wedding invite, Vecteezy can hook you up!

Have a specific idea in mind for an illustration but you just can’t seem to find it anywhere? That’s where Blush comes in! You can customize illustrations from collections made by different artists with different art styles. Want a new head? They got you! Want your character sipping coffee or riding a skateboard? Can be done! Want your character sipping coffee while riding an elephant who’s skateboarding? Well, it may have its limits…✦
